Review Policy

Becky's Book Reviews is happy to accept review copies (books and audiobooks and other bookish products) from authors and publishers. (I won't seek authors out and beg them for review copies. Pleading my case that I really, really, really want their book. But I won't hide the fact that I do seek out publishers to request books on occasion.)

My policy has always been that I review everything that I finish. If I read it, I review it. (Whether I buy it, borrow it, or receive it from publishers and/or authors.)

I do strive for honesty in my reviews. If you don't want my honest opinion of a book, then don't ask me to review it. If you ask for feedback, feedback is what you're going to get. By receiving a review copy, I am not guaranteeing that I will review it. But if I finish it, I will.

While I can't guarantee that I will review a book--only if I finish it--I can assure you that I will give all books at least fifty pages of my time.

Hint: Publishers if you have an exact time frame you'd like to see for a book to be reviewed. Let me know. If I *know* you want a review of a book during a certain week or a certain month, then I'm happy to schedule it in. Books without scheduled dates have lower priority--in a way--than those without. (So if you want the book to be reviewed the exact week it is released--give or take a few days, then I need to know in advance. It may not always be possible, but I'm happy to try to meet your expectations.) Also, if you want me to not review a book too early, then let me know that as well. If a book is coming out in September, and you want me to wait until then--or mid-to-late August, just let me know.

Authors, publishers. I am interested in interviewing authors and participating in blog tours. All I ask is that I receive a review copy of the author's latest book beforehand so the interview will be productive. If the book is part of a series, I'd like to review the whole series if possible. On a happy note, scheduling a book for a blog tour gives me a certain date to aim for. Books I'm touring will get read by the time you set.
