You can't go wrong with those first two and everyone seems to love the Eden book too. Obviously, I just read the wrong Steinbeck.

Perhaps I should reconsider my ban on him?Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00217383813263874657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33553028.post-71057428699887101662009-03-08T20:07:00.000-05:002009-03-08T20:07:00.000-05:00Taren, I'll get to Of Mice and Men at some point. ...Taren, I'll get to Of Mice and Men at some point. But I'm going to prioritize the library-Steinbook books I have since I'll only have the three weeks. (And thanks for the award!! I appreciate it!)

Joe, I'm looking forward to that one. I don't have it at this point. I didn't think to grab every Steinbeck book off the shelves. But I have it in my Amazon shopping cart. So *soon* it will be mine. If Amazon plays nice and ships it quickly.

Jennie, I've just got to thank you the most because if it wasn't for you gushing about Steinbeck several months ago on your site, I wouldn't have been inspired to have the Steinbeck mini-challenge, and if it wasn't for the mini-challenge, then I wouldn't have picked Steinbeck up yet...I actually ordered the four-novel collection featuring Cannery Row and East of Eden (along with two others) so...I'll be looking forward to that!!

Erika-- Thank you! I'm so very happy to have discovered Steinbeck!!! It is making me giddy to read him.

Natasha, you should read/reread this one. It is so fun!!!

Shirley, that is so great to hear. As soon as I read the posts that Cannery Row is similar to Tortilla Flat then I knew I'd need it too.

Toni, thanks for visiting!Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00793618692608823102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33553028.post-38466742307499639812009-03-08T11:20:00.000-05:002009-03-08T11:20:00.000-05:00I enjoyed this one also.
