I love the humor of the opening paragraph. I may have to get on the ball and read another of his books.Framedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13703547279309902320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33553028.post-21470703573135122982008-03-25T15:02:00.000-05:002008-03-25T15:02:00.000-05:00Reading is so subjective. I honestly don't know if the middle was a bit stagnant because I was reading it in such short chunks of time--a chapter or two at a time instead of one long sitting--or if it actually was slowing down almost to a stop. It could just be my mood at the time. But regardless, the last third of the book things did pick up again.Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00793618692608823102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33553028.post-27219354767088832682008-03-25T14:31:00.000-05:002008-03-25T14:31:00.000-05:00Hey Becky! I hope I don't get stuck too, but I seem to have the same reading tastes as you. Glad it ended good for you though and that you still want to go on with the series...that's always a good sign!chrisa511https://www.blogger.com/profile/05793512698366676453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33553028.post-84775878418610308342008-03-25T12:47:00.000-05:002008-03-25T12:47:00.000-05:00Hi Becky,Google alerts was nice enough to show me ...Hi Becky,

Google alerts was nice enough to show me your review! And I appreciate your analysis. I think you make some very good points, and I appreciate your candor. I had a lot of challenges with the "first book" scenario you mentioned. Tough stuff!

The second book is complete, and I think you'll really enjoy it a lot more. No more setup. Nonstop action, twists, and turns from beginning to end. I can't wait til it comes out!

Thanks again for the review!James Dashnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09858761509340907465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33553028.post-54427212434570802692008-03-25T11:26:00.000-05:002008-03-25T11:26:00.000-05:00I do like the book.
