Premise/plot: Will Bear and Bird ever become friends? What is the fate of the red balloon? Essentially, Bird is very shy, and, while he really, really, really wants to make a friend and have a friend, he's a bit hesitant to make the first step. Bear is a great character who is very easy to be with. These two seem destined to watch a lot of sunsets together.

My thoughts: I like this one. I'm not sure I love, love, love it. But I do love the illustrations. They pair well with the simple story.
