Sunday Chatting

In 2014, I've decided to do my Sundays a bit differently. Generally, I have an unannounced theme for the entire year. One year it was movie reviews. Last year it was children's classics. This year, I decided to do something different:

1rst Sundays: Board Books. Picture Books. Early Readers. Not many bloggers review these books for the youngest of "readers." But. I think they're essential--if only for the sake of variety! Reading aloud is so fundamentally important, starting from birth on!!!

2nd Sundays: My Year With Jane...Austen! I will be rereading her novels. I will be reading sequels and adaptations. I will definitely be watching movies! If you know a great book adaptation, preferably a CLEAN adaptation, please leave your recommendations in the comments!

3rd Sundays: Classics. I'll be reviewing one classic a month!

4th Sundays: Mysteries. I love, love, love a good mystery. I wish I could confidently say I'd review 50 mysteries in a year. But. I can't. However, I think I can say I will read at least twelve in a year!

5th Sundays: There are only 4 of these. I am considering mini-reviews of movies. Or. possibly creating lists. Or. Possibly doing challenge update posts.

Long Awaited Reads Month. Cohosted by Things Mean a Lot and Iris on Books. These will be books I read in January--if all goes to plan--but I won't have reviews up until February.

  2. I have almost finished the first Martha Grimes (Jury/Plant series) mystery novel. I have really enjoyed it a lot; however, she does have three curse words (GD/JC) which I find annoying and offensive. But, I will read another as the cursing was minimal and the books are set in England which I love.
