Oh, Danny Dunn and the Homework Machine was one of the few paperbacks my mother saved from her early teaching days, and I remember it with fondness. It has since crumbled into dust. I know there's always a debate about quality vs. quantity, but I've decided that for my purposed of recommending books to students, it's quantity all the way for me. Glad you had several five star reads!
