I hope you enjoy The Martian. I just read it and thought it was fantastic.

I've always meant to watch Babylon 5, as that is one series I haven't tried. I should do so during this Experience as well.

Wow! It's good to meet a fellow book worm! Have you heard of the book, "Inventing Madness," by author J.G. Schwartz? http://www.inventingmadness.com/ Inventing Madness is the story of total devotion of a mother for her deeply disturbed son.

Hallo Becky,

This is my 2nd Year participating in the Sci Fi Experience, but already I feel as though its going to go better than my 1st! :) I had a lot of fun putting together my Experience Log today! :) I wanted to get a head start on visiting the bloggers taking part, as I'm coming out of Sci Fi November w/ a two week extension which happily fits into the first two weeks of the Sci Fi Experience! Go me!

I haven't heard of the novels your going to be reading but I can say I was a HUGE fan of Babylon 5!! Except to say, I missed a lot of the series! :( It is definitely one of the sci-fi series I want to borrow through my library one of these years to view between SFN + SFE! Next year I know I'm going to watch more Doctor Who, but hmm, you brought up a good point - why not watch Babylon 5 for SFE?

I look forward to your posts & seeing what you are appreciating about a series I watched before anyone even had heard of it! I kid you not - I'd talk about it with sci-fi appreciators who were like, what series? Which channel!? lol

Enjoy the Experience!

I've just discovered the Sci Fi Experience, thanks to your post! I think I'll probably read Philip K Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (it's been on my shelf for a while!) and re-watch Firefly (not that I've ever needed a special incentive to do that!)
