2012 Challenges: Once Upon a Time VI

Carl is hosting the sixth edition of the Once Upon a Time reading challenge.  I am signing up for quest the first which is to read at least five books that fit in the Once Upon a Time categories: fantasy, folklore, fairy tale, mythology.

Do I know exactly what I'll be reading? No. Not really. Not for sure. I mean I have an idea that I'd like to reread a few favorite books, a few favorite authors. I have an idea that I want to give some new series a try. But what I say I'm going to read today may be what I decide definitely NOT to read two or three weeks from now!

2. The Bone Magician. F.E. Higgins. 2008. Feiwel and Friends. 274 pages.
3. The Eyeball Collector. F.E. Higgins. 2009. Feiwel and Friends. 250 pages.

Wow, those are some cool looking books! Thanks so much for reminding me that I need to read some Terry Pratchett for the challenge this year.

I love the covers for Lisa Mantchev's books. They are so cool.

Thanks for joining in Becky, hope you love whatever you choose to read.

I loved the King Raven series (Hood, Scarlet and Tuck)! Hope you enjoy them!

Marianne Malone is a new author to me but those covers and titles are intriguing. I think my TBR list is going to grow. :)

That's a lot of great looking books! What wonderful covers many of them have!

I am hoping to read Scarlet and Finnikin of the Rock. Is Froi of the Exiles a sequel? I have only read Jellicoe Road by her so far.

Lisa Mantchev's books have beautiful covers, but I couldn't finish Eyes Like Stars. I wish I could have just so I could justify buying the pretty covers...

And, yay, Terry Pratchett! I have read and loved all of the ones you mentioned. I really need to read some Pratchett myself!

I looked at my shelves last night and thought I didn't have much to read. I think I have 3 Pratchett books out of the library which absolutely count for the challenge.

This would also be a really good time for me to FINALLY read Marchetta.

Kailana, yes, Froi of the Exiles is a sequel. It's a sequel to Finnikin of the Rock.

I've read Eyes Like Stars, but didn't know about the other two. Good to find out! Looks like you have plenty of great books lined up. Have fun with them! :)
