I was browsing the June 2007 issue of VOYA, when I discovered Not Your Average After-School Special: An Interview With Coe Booth. For those not familiar with Coe Booth's work, she is the author of Tyrell. (Yes, Tyrell is this year's winner of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Young Adult Fiction.) You can read my review of it here.
Coe Booth also is a regular contributor for the blog The Longstockings. I love this blog. But I particularly love today's post by Coe. If you haven't read it, you really should. Coloring Outside the Lines. This week's question was: "Write a day in the life of a character when they are grown up." And Coe Booth chose Harold from Harold and the Purple Crayon. Her post really made my day :)
