I really want to read Pioneer Girl but I'll have to put my name on a long hold list at my library! I'm glad to see it made your top ten. I've heard that El Deafo is excellent and I've also been wanting to try Merrie Haskell's MG books.
I started reading The Silmarillion years ago and while I liked what I read of it I never finished. I'll have to give it another try sometime. I love The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
