Library Loot Mid-June Edition

Library Loot GraphicLeftover loot that's been renewed:

Castle in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones
A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter Miller
Dull Boy by Sarah Cross
Doomsday Book by Connie Willis

New loot:

House of Many Ways by Diana Wynne Jones
Feed by M.T. Anderson (for Filling in the Gaps)
Cart and Cwidder by Diana Wynne Jones
Drowned Amnet by Diana Wynne Jones
The Spellcoats by Diana Wynne Jones
The Crown of Dalemark by Diana Wynne Jones
Old Man's War by John Scalzi (for Herding Cats II; for Filling in the Gaps)
The Matchmaker of Perigord by Julia Stuart
Portrait of a Lady by Diane A.S. Stuckart
Bound South by Susan Rebecca White (for the Southern Reading Challenge maybe?)
To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis
The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck* (for Filling in the Gaps)

* Yes, careful observers may remember I had looted this last time. But it was the large print edition, and it was driving me crazy. I like print that is easy on the eyes. But the book was too heavy for reading in bed. And I wanted something more manageable.

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and Marg that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

I haven't read any Diana Wynne Jones. I've thought about it a few times, but not got any further.

Well, that ought to keep you reading pretty deep into the summer!

A Canticle for Leibowitz is absolutely stunning read.

The Grapes of Wrath, one of the greatest novels ever written? Maybe, it's definitely one of the best American novels that's for sure.

That's a lot of Dianna Wynne Jones! I've heard great things about To Say Nothing of the dog. :)

I love library loot! I always feel a bit on the wealthy side when I walk out with an arm full of books. **smile**

Your list of library books looks a bit long like mine. Currently, my library books are my priority reads for my July Nightstand.

Happy Reading!
