Library Loot: First of July
I've still got all the books from last time. Yes, ALL. (I've finished Old Man's War. I'll be reviewing it soon.) But I did pick up two new books to add to the list:
On the Beach by Nevil Shute
The Android's Dream by John Scalzi
I think that makes seventeen books to-be-read and one book to be reviewed.
Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and Marg that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

The Android's Dream looks quite entertaining, might have to write that down on my list of books to get.
Oh no. Did you love Old Man's War as much as Nymeth and Chris and Carl and Kailana? There's just no resisting that one much longer, I can just tell.
I've managed to read of the books I got last week. I'm in the middle of two more, and I decided not to read 1. That still leaves 4, though, which doesn't justify the piles I checked out this week! :) I think library books are irresistable.
Library books are like that-they multiply fast if we don't get to them right away. I had to go read last week's post, I'd missed it. Old Man's War sounds like an interesting title. I'm really looking forward to what you thought of The Grapes of Wrath. Especially since you have a good amount of his work under your belt now. I think you'll enjoy On The Beach, it's a great story. They made a decent film of it too some years back. Can't remember the title. Enjoy your loot, my LL post is up.
I love any Nevil Shute books but my all time favorite is A Town Like Alice. I read it every few years and then watch the 6 hour mini series and love every minute of it!! Enjoy.
The only Nevil Shute book I have read is A Town Like Alice. I should try and read more!
Nevil Shute is on my 'authors to read' list Enjoy the books!
