Library Loot: Second Week in August

Not all of these books are *new* most are renewals, some got checked out last weekend but didn't get added to the past week's library loot. But these are all the books out on my card (that are mine).

The Siren Song by Anne Ursu
Lilith's Brood by Octavia Butler
Scaramouche by Rafael Sabatini
Darcy's Story by Janet Aylmer
The Robe by Lloyd C. Douglas
Tarzan of the Apes by Edgar Rice Burroughs
A Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
The Secret Adventures of Charlotte Bronte by Laura Joh Rowland

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and Marg that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

I read Frankenstein a while ago and I absolutely loved it. It's definitely in my top 10 as my most favourite books ever! Let me know your thought when you've read it :)

Years and years ago I bought the first 7 or 8 books in the Sano Ichiro series by Laura Joh Roland. Never read any of them. I did see this when it came out but figured I would try her other books to see if I liked her voice or not before getting this one.

Made an interesting selection! I can't wait to read your reviews! I haven't heard of many of these authors/books (Well except Mary Shelley & John Steinbeck of course) :)

You've chosen some interesting sounding books and some tried and true classics. Enjoy, Becky!

Well, that answers my question about whether or not you're going to read The Siren Song. :)

I can't wait to see what you think of The Grapes of Wrath. I struggled with that book while reading it but, in hindsight, it's an excellent story. I've seen lots of mixed reviews about it. Can't wait to hear yours!
