What a fun list, Becky! When I first saw that question, Rivendell was the place that immediately popped to mind...but yeah, the Shire would awesome, too!

I'm familiar with only half of these. =( I really should read some more Diana Wynne Jones. I know the Chronicles of Chrestomanci but have yet to get started on her other books.

The Shire is a lovely place! Actually, every place in Middle-EArth deserves a spot on the list. And definitely agree with the Hundred Acre Woods.. I wouldn't mind going there at all!
