Interesting list! I hope you're able to post summaries for your wrap up so I can choose some to add to my list.

And I thoroughly love Lois Lowry's The Giver Series, but I didn't know about "Son". I"ll have to check that one out! Veeeerrrrrry thought-provoking.

Well, I like your list. :D I read The White Queen by Philippa Gregory and I REALLY liked it. But it was still just racy enough that I wasn't sure if I would like any of her others. I recall having to skip a scene or something. Anyway, she is a wonderful writer and tells fantastic stories. I concluded THAT at any rate! :D

Enjoy your fall reads!

Shonya, thanks for visiting! I decided to reread the Giver trilogy just so I'd be ready for the new book in the series, Son. I just recently learned of its publication, and I knew I HAD TO READ IT!!!! The Giver is one of my favorite, favorite books :)

Carrie, I think The White Queen is the raciest of this new series, which makes sense in a way since it's focus is on King Edward, in a way. And I don't think Gregory was *adding* that kind of content *just* to the series just to make it appeal to modern readers.

Now, Gregory is definitely, definitely hit or miss for me. Some of the content of her books falls into the so not for me, it's not worth it category.

That looks like a great list of books to read this autumn. :) Good luck on this challenge and I'm looking forward to seeing your reviews of them. Especially with Dear Mr. Darcy. :) Happy Reading!

You have quite a variety of books to choose from this fall. I read "Dear Mr. Darcy" and enjoyed it. I love these books by Amanda Grange based on Jane Austen books. It's like visiting all the characters, but with a bit of a twist. Enjoy your Fall Reading Challenge 2012.

We got six (if I counted right) of the same books on our lists! I'll be interested to compare responses.

Happy reading!

Great list, Becky! Lots of variety! My son loved that Margaret Peterson Haddix series, and another one of hers. And I've heard so many good things about Philippa Gregory's books, though I haven't read any myself. Yet. :) Thanks for being part of Fall Into Reading 2012!

I'm with Susanne, I don't think I have seen any of these titles before. Your list makes mine look like, peanuts. Always enjoy your reviews!

I have Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory waiting for my attention..I love historical fiction, but don't read nearly as much as I would like. Some of my friends really liked What Came From the Stars.
You have a great list of books. Enjoy!
